Chefs first, landlords second would be the best way to describe Sue and Craig. Both have enjoyed long careers in the kitchen and are passionate about food.

Is it a pub or is it a restaurant? The best description would be that the Shady Oak is a country inn and eatery.
No nouveau cuisine here, just classic fare cooked to perfection and consumed in pleasant surroundings.

The Shady Oak caters for ramblers using the miles of footpaths in and around Fernilee with lite bites, snacks and ramblers special lunches.

Is Craig really the 'Peak District Pie man'? Craig is renowned for both his delicious meat and fish pies.
